The corner sofa is the quiet anchor of a living room — the one piece you'll sit on more than any other. Ours are made the slow way: solid Polish hardwood frames, hand-tied seat foundations, high-resilience foam tested to 80,000 cycles, and over 200 fabrics ranging from buttery boucle to bullet-proof performance weave.
Whether you need a compact 4-seater for a Battersea flat or a 7-piece U-shape for the family room, every Furniture Story corner is built to be rearranged, recovered, and lived on for decades. Free fabric samples next day, room-of-choice delivery, 2-year guarantee — and a phone line answered by people who actually know their sofas.
See and feel the colour in your own light before you decide. Next-day delivery, no commitment.
Order samples →A corner sofa is the biggest piece of furniture most living rooms will ever hold — and one of the most-used. We've simplified the decisions that matter.
The most common return reason is a sofa that won't fit through the door. Every Daglas, Moved and Cosy frame ships with removable legs and split seats for a 78cm minimum doorway.
The chaise should hug the wall, not block the door. If you're unsure, our universal/reversible models swap sides in two minutes.
Daylight changes colours dramatically. We'll send up to 8 free swatches the next day so you can see them on your wall, by your window.
Every Moved Night corner doubles as a 140 × 200 bed. If the spare room hosts more than once a year, it's the corner that pays for itself.
The corner sofa has quietly become the most-used piece of furniture in the modern UK home. It's where Sunday films happen, where guests overstay their welcome, where toddlers pile cushions into forts and where the laptop ends up at 9pm. A good corner sofa needs to do all of that — for fifteen years, not three. Every Furniture Story corner is built on a solid pine and birch-ply frame, joined with hardwood corner blocks rather than staples, and finished by hand in our partner workshop in southern Poland.
Each frame begins as kiln-dried timber, cut and jointed by hand, then sprung with sinuous steel and webbing before the high-resilience HR-35 foam goes on. The foam is tested to 80,000 compression cycles — well beyond the British Standard for "heavy domestic" use — so the seat doesn't sag after the first year. Back cushions are fibre-filled and re-stuffable, meaning your sofa can be refreshed rather than replaced.
Upholstery is the part most people see and feel. We work with weavers across Europe to offer over 200 fabrics, from buttery boucle and cotton-blend chenille to bullet-proof performance weaves rated for pets, kids, and the occasional spilled glass of red. Most of our covers are removable and dry-cleanable as standard.
The first decision is the side: Left-hand facing (LHF) means the chaise sits on your left when you stand in front of the sofa; Right-hand facing (RHF) is the mirror. The chaise should hug the wall, not block a doorway or window. If your room layout might change, our universal/reversible models swap sides in two minutes without tools.
The second decision is size. A compact 4-seater (around 238 × 168 cm) suits a London flat or a snug; the Big at 268 × 188 cm is the family-room sweet spot; the XL and U-shape (up to 328 × 248 cm) are built for open-plan living, film nights and full-house Sundays. Every Furniture Story corner ships with removable legs and a split frame so it passes through a standard 78 cm doorway — the most common reason corners get returned elsewhere.
Daylight changes a fabric dramatically. The same cool-grey weave can read warm-beige in a south-facing room and almost-blue at dusk. That's why we send up to 8 free fabric swatches the next day — so you can see the colour on your wall, by your window, against your floor. There's no commitment and no return needed. Many customers order swatches twice before deciding.
Day-to-day care is straightforward: vacuum weekly with a soft brush, rotate cushions monthly, spot-clean spills with cool water from the outside in. Avoid direct sunlight, which fades the warmest tones over time. Most of our covers come off and dry-clean perfectly if life happens. For homes with pets, look for the "Pet-friendly" filter — those weaves are rated 30,000+ Martindale rubs and treated with our Easy-Clean finish.
Quick-delivery models ship from our London warehouse within 14 days, often sooner. Made-to-order pieces take 6–8 weeks. Either way, two delivery operatives carry the sofa into your room of choice, assemble it, and remove all packaging — there's no flat-pack and no third-party courier. We deliver Tuesday to Saturday across mainland UK, and we'll call 24 hours before with a 2-hour window.
Every Furniture Story corner sofa comes with a 2-year guarantee on the frame, mechanism and fabric, extendable to 5 years. We still service sofas built in 2008. If you're undecided between two ranges, browse our modular sofas for fully reconfigurable sets, or our sofa beds if overnight guests are part of the plan.
